Reported Tab

You have access to and can manage all the Reported AnswerHub content awaiting moderation in the Reported tab.

Overview

Only 400 characters will appear for each section of content awaiting moderation. If you would like to view all the content from the post, then click the read more link.

NOTE:

Reported content given a reason by the reporting user will have the reason appear in italics in the report details section. Reported content will remain on your AnswerHub site until a moderator has explicitly removed it.

Access from the Community UI

  1. Select the Avatar drop-down list from the navigation bar in the community UI.
  2. From the list, select Moderation.
    The Moderation tab displays.
  3. Select the Reported tab to see all the reported content from the community.

You can perform any of the headers listed below from the Reported tab.

  • View Reported Content Details
  • Edit Reported Content
  • Post a Comment
  • Delete Reported Content
  • Cancel Reported Content
  • View the Details of a User Who Has Posted Reported Content

Filter by Space

Review the Filter Moderated or Reported Content by Type and Space section.

View Reported Content Details

  1. Locate the reported content you would like to view from the queue.
  2. Select the reported content by clicking on the title link.
    The system will take you to the original content posted in the community.
  • In the community UI, you cannot perform any moderation tasks and will need to return to the Reported tab in the moderation UI.

Edit Reported Content

Sometimes you may want to edit content in the moderation queue before publishing the post in the community.

  1. Locate the reported content you would like to view from the queue.
  2. Select the reported content by clicking on the title link.
    The system will take you to the original content posted in the community.
  3. Click on the gear icon at the top right side of the post.
  4. Select Edit from the drop-down menu.
    The Edit [Content] screen will display.
  5. Edit the content as needed.
  6. Click the SAVE button.
    A yellow bar with the following statement, "Your [content] was successfully updated!" will appear with a successful edit.

Post a Comment

The POST A COMMENT button allows the moderator to post a comment to the original post that will be visible to moderators and the original author of the post.

  1. Locate the content you would like to post a comment to.
  2. Click the POST A COMMENT button.
    a. A text editor will appear to enter information for your comment.
    b. Click SUBMIT to save the message.
  3. Enter the information you would like to send to the original poster in the form of a comment.
    The comment will show up beneath the original post awaiting moderation in the Reported tab and in the community UI. It will only be viewable by moderators and the original author.

Delete Reported Content

If the moderator decides to delete the reported content from the community, they can perform this action from the Reported tab.

  1. Locate the reported content you would like to delete from the community.
  2. Click the DELETE button below the description and report details.
  • The system will remove the reported content from the community.
  • The DELETE button will change to be an UNDELETE button.
  • The content will remain in the reported queue until you refresh the page. After refreshing the page, the content no longer displays on the reported content page.

Cancel Reported Content

If the moderator decides they want to cancel the reported content, they can perform this action from the Reported tab.

  1. Locate the reported content you would like to undo the reporting of the post.
  2. Click the CANCEL REPORT button.
  • A modal window will appear and ask you to confirm canceling the reported content. If you are sure you want to undo the reporting of the content, then click the YES button.
  • Once you cancel the reporting of the content, the button will change to REPORT(0) and the content no longer display on the queue upon page refresh.
  • The original post will remain in the community.

View the Details of a User Who's Posted Reported Content

As a moderator, you can suspend users and may want to view the profile for a user who posted the content awaiting moderation before deciding to suspend the user's ability to interact with your community.

  1. Locate the user whose profile you would like to view.
  2. Click on the avatar or username to navigate to the user's profile page.
    You will see the profile user interface for the selected user.
