2.29.0 Release Notes

December 16, 2022

Summary

The 2.29.0 feature release of AnswerHub includes updates to the Advanced Analytics reporting section to afford admins with greater community insights to effectively manage their communities and keep stakeholders well informed of progress! Key new features include:

  • A New pre-loader and enhanced status bar informs admin of progress as requested report is generated.

  • New multi-line graphing allows easy comparison of activity amongst groups or spaces on selected reports. Up to 10 groups or 10 spaces may be represented in the multi-line graph function.

  • Traffic Report renamed to Page Views with ability to visually compare multiple groups in one report. Now admins with public sites can select anonymous and user groups and compare traffic volumes to the site from authenticated and anonymous public traffic, or compare page views across up to 10 different spaces.

  • New Analytic Settings page works with Page View metrics to allow admins to filter out traffic from search bots or site performance / uptime monitoring trackers employed. (This panel is pre-loaded with exemptions for AnswerHub site status monitoring resources from statuscake and stackify.)

  • Unique Users report is enhanced to trend and compare all contributing and passive authenticated users with filtering by group. This compliments recent updates to dashboards for passive / contributing user statistics.

  • New User Activity Report replaces "Users Joining Site" and now provides easy comparisons of new user registrations, suspensions and deactivations so the community admin can easily spot trends and events that affect the size and growth of the community user base. Filtering by group is available.

  • Enhancements to Users with Popular content allow admins to filter by any content type and time period, while filtering by spaces and groups to highlight users who have publish content that is particularly interesting to the community. The report allows the returned results to be sorted by the type of content, replies, views, votes, and users following so the admin can easily see how the community is reacting to the content. Clickable links from the report allow the admin to view the content or explore the user's profile page to learn more about them.

  • New Content by space metric consolidates reports while expanding coverage of reporting for ideas, questions and articles. Community managers can now easily visualize the growth trends for the top 10 spaces while sorting the detailed table data to see which spaces contain the most new ideas, questions, articles during the selected reporting timeframe. Groups can be used as a filter to gain insights into how various groups are contributing across spaces.

  • New Content by Topics report consolidates reports and expands reporting coverage by allowing the admin to visualize and easily understand changing trends in topic usage within the community. This allows the admin to spot trends in new questions related to a topic, or growth in articles and ideas. Filtering by groups is possible to provide insight into which topics may be most relevant to particular groups.

  • Enhanced Most Popular Content report - this report is complimentary to users with popular content and places focus on the content that is most valued and includes details on the state of the content including whether questions are answered / unanswered / solved, and what state ideas are in. Additional information on number of answers, comments, views, and whether expert answers are included. This report helps the community manager prioritize support and engagement efforts on the content that matters most to the community.

  • Renamed Karma Report as Earned Reputation and added additional returned data to inform on how the top users are contributing in addition to the Reputation points earned during the selected reporting period.

  • Removed obsolete Time on Page metric

  • New Period Total and Period average values added to qualifying reports to reduce admin work to sum and average returned data on reporting intervals.

  • Dynamic Graph titles - Graph titles now adjust based on report filter option selections
